Who can I raise funds for?
When you create a campaign, you choose one of three fundraising tracks under New campaign:
Tax-deductible: fundraise for your social initiative under the IsraelGives Foundation.
For the IDF: fundraise for soldiers or an army unit.
For any charity: fundraise for any registered non-profit in Israel.
Campaigns that pay the funds to you personally (private campaigns) are no longer offered. To learn more about each track, see FundMe fundraising tracks.
What types of campaign can I create?
In the Type of Campaign step of the wizard, you can choose one of five campaign types:
Regular campaign: a standard crowdfunding campaign. You set a goal and encourage your donors to help you reach it. Example
Team campaign: build a team of fundraisers. With one click, your supporters can join your main campaign and fundraise for your cause. Each team member gets a personal version of your campaign and can set their own goal. They become your ambassadors, bringing you new donors. Example
Membership campaign: a Patreon-style campaign for recurring monthly donations. You set a goal for the number of members instead of an amount, and donations repeat every month. See How do I create a campaign to collect recurring donations?. Example
Matching campaign: recruit a donor who matches every donation, and show supporters how much their gift is worth. The page shows each donor the impact of the match: 2 times, 3 times and up to 10 times. Example
Rewards campaign: offer donors rewards for their donation. You can set different gifts for different donation levels and currencies, and track donations and gifts in your account. Example
You can create campaigns in English, Hebrew, French, Spanish, Arabic and Russian.
Can I customize my campaign?
Look and feel: want to change colors or fonts, or hide parts of the page such as the header and footer? This is all possible with CSS and JS. Just contact us and tell us what you'd like to do.
Campaign address: want the campaign to appear on your own website address? Contact us.
Email confirmations: you can create a unique email that is sent to all your donors. See Creating custom email confirmations.
Can I track my campaign's results?
Yes. Our platform supports Google Analytics 4 and Facebook analytics. In the campaign wizard, enter your Google Measurement ID and/or your Facebook Pixel ID. See Analytics and conversion tracking.
You can also:
Track where donations come from by adding a simple variable to your campaign's URL. See Source tracking using custom fields.
Reward partners who promote your campaign through our affiliate program. See Affiliate marketing platform.
Send donation data to your marketing or CRM platform with Webhooks or Our Zapier app.
How do I get started?
Create a free IsraelGives account: https://account.israelgives.org/en/UserRegister
Complete your profile under Profile › Profile.
In the menu, click New campaign and choose Tax-deductible, For the IDF or For any charity.
Follow the wizard steps: Search charity (for any charity only), Type of Campaign, Build your Campaign and Goal and Rewards. Then click Finish.
For Tax-deductible and IDF campaigns, you also complete a short identification process before you can use the funds. See FundMe campaigns through the IsraelGives Foundation: fees and payouts.
When will I receive the funds that I raise?
It depends on your track:
For any charity: all donations go directly to the charity you selected. You don't receive the funds yourself.
Tax-deductible and For the IDF: the funds are not paid to you. They are used to pay suppliers, or families in need, for your campaign's purpose. You submit expenses and follow your balance on the Campaign Expenses page. See FundMe campaigns through the IsraelGives Foundation: fees and payouts.
Existing private campaigns: see FundMe private campaigns (existing campaigns): fees and payouts. In short:
- Once your campaign is over, fill out the release my funds form: https://account.israelgives.org/en/dynamic/page/releasefunds
- You receive the funds around the 15th of the month after the campaign ends. Recurring monthly donations (hora'at keva) are paid every month, around the 15th, for the previous month's donations.
- Foreign-currency donations are sent every two weeks, around the 7th and 22nd of the month.
You can see the details of every transfer under Financials › Payouts.
Our fees are recorded in an invoice we issue after your campaign ends, and then every month. You'll find all invoices under Financials › Invoices.
