FundMe Private Campaigns - Set-up, Fees and Payouts

Fundme enables you to create a tax-deductible campaign through the Israelgives Foundation, or directly to yourself, what we call a private campaign. This article details the fees and payout conditions when creating a private campaign.

Creating a campaign

You can create a campaign through your Israelgives account. Campaigns go live the moment that they're created, but are subject to an approval process. Note that we reserve the right to remove or cancel campaigns at any time.

Once your campaign goes live, you can accept online donations, in Israeli Shekels and international currencies. You will receive notification of every donation, and the donor's details will appear in your Israelgives account.

Subsequently, once you have raised 600 NIS, an email will be sent to you in order to complete an identity verification process ("KYC"), which includes a photo of an identification document. Completing this process will enable the orderly release of the campaign funds to your bank account, once a month around the 25th of each month, for the donations made during the previous month. Please note that we reserve the right to postpone the date of the funds transfer if our team classifies your campaign as a high-risk campaign.

Failure to complete the "KYC" process within 180 days from the date the campaign was opened may lead to the cancellation of the campaign, all at the company's discretion.

Fees

  • Set-up fee: When opening a private campaign, a one-time setup fee of ₪500 + VAT applies.

  • Transaction fee: A 2.9% payment processing fee applies. For international payments, a $0.50 per donation fee also applies.

Campaign tips

Instead of charging a platform fee, we allow donors to leave a voluntary tip that helps support and fund the platform’s operations. On credit card donations: the tip is charged as a separate transaction from the donation, and it won't appear in your account. On donations made through Bit or PayPal, the tip is added onto the donation amount, and then deducted when we pay out the funds.

So if a donor leaves a ₪10 tip on a ₪100 donation, the donation will appear as ₪110, but we'll deduct the ₪10 tip from the funds we pay out to you.

Note that the tip is not considered part of the campaign’s total fundraising. So if

₪110,000 was donated and ₪10,000 of that amount consisted of tips, the campaign total will show ₪100,000.
