Donations made through the IsraelGives Foundation are made to the Foundation, and receipts are issued by it. As such, the Foundation has a responsibility not only to ensure that the funds your campaign raises are used responsibly, but that they are used in general (the purpose of a nonprofit is to use its money to do good, not to fundraise and not use its funds). Therefore, you must begin spending the funds that you've raised within two months of the start of your campaign. If you do not, we reserve the right to close your campaign and re-allocate the funds to other social causes that the Foundation supports.
In order to use the funds you've raised in the campaign, you must first complete a short identification process, which consists of two brief steps:

Payments to vendors
From the funds you've raised, we can pay vendors in exchange for an invoice issued to "IsraelGives Foundation" (קרן ישראל גיבס).
To do so, first fill out the invoice submission form. You'll attach an invoice or proforma invoice must be made out to "IsraelGives Foundation" (קרן ישראל גיבס), along with a link to your campaign. We'll also need the vendor's account-management confirmation (אישור ניהול חשבון) of the bank account of the vendor to whom the payment will be transferred, and a tax withholding certificate (אישור ניכוי מס במקור).
We will try to approve submissions within one business day, during the company's operating hours: Sunday through Thursday, between 9:00–17:00.
Immediately after the payment is made, you'll need to send us a receipt (קבלה) or invoice-receipt (חשבונית מס קבלה), depending on whether you originally provided us with an invoice (חשבונית) or a pro-forma invoice (חשבון עסקה). Email this to [email protected]
Important: Do not pay vendors out of pocket. We must be the ones who pay the invoices upfront. If you pay yourselves, we won't be able to reimbuse you!
Timing of payments
Payments to vendors are made twice a week, not on fixed predetermined days.
You can use the funds that you've raised from the moment the donation is made, as the Foundation advances you the funds even before it has received them from the credit card companies. Accordingly, in order to protect ourselves against donation refunds and chargebacks, and because we don't yet know the credit card fee or the exact exchange rate, we will release only up to 90% of the funds raised, until your campaign has reached its end date. 2 months after the end date (and no later than 6 months after the end date) you may make use of the final 10%.
Fees
The Foundation will collect a 5% fee, and make 95% of the funds raised available for your campaign.
