FundMe offers three fundraising tracks. You choose one when you create a campaign: go to New campaign in the menu, or use the Create your FundMe Campaign card on your dashboard.
Tax-deductible: fundraise for your social initiative
Want to raise funds for a social cause without opening your own non-profit? Create a FundMe campaign under the umbrella of the IsraelGives Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to supporting social initiatives and people in need.
All of your campaign's donors instantly receive tax-deductible receipts from Israel (Sec. 46), the U.S. (501c3), and other countries.
To start: go to New campaign › Tax-deductible.
Using the funds: the funds you raise can be paid directly to suppliers for goods and services related to your campaign. In some cases they can be paid directly to families who experience, and can show, economic need. You submit expenses on the Campaign Expenses page.
For full details on fees and payouts, see FundMe campaigns through the IsraelGives Foundation: fees and payouts.
For the IDF: fundraise for soldiers or an army unit
Want to support active soldiers or an army unit, for example by buying equipment? Choose this track.
To start: go to New campaign › For the IDF.
Tax receipts: donations are tax-deductible in Israel (Sec. 46). You can accept donations in 200 currencies, but only donations in Israeli Shekels are tax-deductible.
Funds: like Tax-deductible campaigns, funds are paid directly to suppliers, or to families in need, through the same process. See FundMe campaigns through the IsraelGives Foundation: fees and payouts.
For any charity: fundraise for a registered non-profit
Celebrating a bar mitzvah, or just want to raise funds for your favorite charity? You can fundraise for any of Israel's registered non-profits.
To start: go to New campaign › For any charity. Search for the charity by name or keyword, then build your campaign.
Tax receipts: donations are tax-deductible in 32 countries.
Funds: all donations go directly to the charity you selected.
Approval: campaigns go live immediately.
Can I create a campaign for myself?
No. Private campaigns, where the funds are paid to you personally, are no longer offered. Every new campaign must be for the IsraelGives Foundation, the IDF track, or a specific charity. If you already run a private campaign, see FundMe private campaigns (existing campaigns): fees and payouts.
