When you import donations or leads, some columns must be written in a set way. For example, you can write the donor's first name any way you like. The donor's country, though, must be written so our system recognizes it.
These columns need special values:
Donation fields: frequency, currency
Campaign fields: campaign_url, show_name, show_sum, show_message
Donor fields: dnc (do not contact), gender, countryc, statec
Dates: dob, donation_date
Payment fields: payment_method, teudat_zehut_number, bank_name, bank_branch, bank_account, checks_number, credit_card_number, credit_card_type, credit_card_expiration
Custom fields: cf1–cf20, dcf1–dcf20

Sum, currency and frequency go together. If a row has one of them, it needs all three.
Campaign fields
Campaign URL (campaign_url)
Enter your campaign's page name. For example, enter "dogs" for a campaign at .../en/join/dogs. If you have no campaign with that name, the donation is imported without a campaign.
Campaign donor credits (show_name, show_sum, show_message)
When you import an offline donation to a campaign, you decide what appears on the campaign page:
show_name: the donor's name
show_message: the donor's personal message (from campaign_message)
show_sum: the donation sum
To show a value, enter 1. To hide it, leave the cell empty or enter 0.

To tick "do not contact", enter 1 or true. To leave it unticked, enter 0 or false.

dob (date of birth) is read in the format you choose in Select Date Format on the import page: dd/MM/yyyy or MM/dd/yyyy.
donation_date is read as day/month/year.
You can separate the parts with / or a dot, and write the year with 2 or 4 digits. For example: 31/12/2024, 31.12.24.

Israeli ID number (teudat_zehut_number)
Digits only, 8 or 9 digits. It is saved only for donations in NIS. For other currencies it is ignored.
Bank details (bank_name, bank_branch, bank_account)
bank_name: the bank's code number, for example 12 or 11.
bank_branch: the branch number, digits only, up to 3 digits.
bank_account: the account number, digits only, up to 20 digits.
Check number (checks_number)
Digits only, up to 20 digits.
Card details (credit_card_number, credit_card_type, credit_card_expiration)
credit_card_number: the last 4 digits of the card only. Never enter the full card number.
credit_card_type: the card type.
credit_card_expiration: month and year as MM/YY, for example 08/27.
When are payment fields required?
Only for donations in NIS to charities with Section 46 approval:
payment_method 1 (credit card): credit_card_number, credit_card_type and credit_card_expiration are required.
payment_method 2 (check): bank_name, bank_branch, bank_account and checks_number are required.
payment_method 4 (bank transfer): bank_name, bank_branch and bank_account are required.
In all other cases these columns are optional. If you fill them in, they must still be in the right format.
Custom fields
cf1, cf2 … are donor custom fields. Create the field first in Manage › CRM › Custom Fields, then use the name in its Short name column. See Custom fields.
dcf1 to dcf20 are donation custom fields. Enter any text. It is saved on the donation, not on the donor.
