When you export donations, we prepare the file in the background and email you a link to it. All your export files are also kept on one page, Donation export files, so you can download them again later. Charity and fundraiser accounts both have this page.
How do I export my donations?
Go to Manage › Donations › All donations. In a fundraiser account, go to Donations › All donations.
Search or filter the donations you want, then click Search.
At the bottom of the list, enter your email address in the box.
Click Download results.
You'll see "A link to your exported file will be sent to your email address shortly." The Donation export files page opens in a new tab.
You can export recurring donations the same way. Go to Manage › Donations › Recurring, search, enter your email address and click Download to Excel. Fundraiser accounts can also get all their receipts in one ZIP file with Download all receipts on All donations.
If the email address is missing or not valid, you'll see "Enter a valid email address".
What does the email look like?
The email subject is "Donations Export File". It contains a link to your file. You must be signed in to the account that created the export to open the link.
Where do I find my export files?
Go to Manage › Donations › Donation export files. In a fundraiser account, go to Donations › Donation export files.
The newest files are at the top. For each file you see:
Column | What it shows |
Date | When you asked for the export. |
The address we sent the link to. | |
Download results to Excel | The file's status. When the file is ready, click the status to download it. |
Size | The file size. |
Origin | Where the export came from: Donations, Receipts or Recurring donations. |
Actions | A trash icon to delete the file. |
Donation and recurring exports are CSV files that open in Excel. Receipt exports are ZIP files.
What do the statuses mean?
Generating: we're still building the file. Large exports can take a few minutes. Refresh the page to check again.
Generated Successfully: the file is ready. Click the status to download it.
Failed: the export didn't work. Try again with a smaller date range or fewer results. If it fails again, contact our support team.
How long are export files kept?
Export files are deleted automatically after a set number of days. The red notice at the top of the page tells you how many days, for example "Files older then 7 days will be deleted".
Download any file you want to keep and save it on your computer.
How do I delete an export file?
Click the trash icon in the Actions column.
In Delete this export file, you're asked "Do you want to delete this export file?" Click Confirm.
You'll see "Export file has been deleted". The file is removed from the list and can't be downloaded again.
Whose exports do I see?
If you signed in with the account's main login (for a charity, the charity ID number), you see every export made in the account.
If you signed in as a user with your own email address, you see only the exports you made.
Common questions
I clicked Download results and nothing downloaded.
That's expected. Exports don't download straight away. Wait for the email, or open Donation export files and download the file when it's ready.
I didn't get the email.
Check your spam folder and that you typed the address correctly. You can always download the file from Donation export files instead.
I see "Something went wrong, please try again later, or contact support".
The export wasn't started. Try again. If it keeps happening, contact our support team.
To understand the columns in the donations export, read Fees and Donation Export. For searching and filtering donations, read My Donations. For the recurring donations page, read Recurring payments and installments.
