Can I still open a private campaign?
No. New private campaigns (campaigns that pay the funds to you personally) are no longer offered. Under New campaign, you can now choose one of three tracks:
Tax-deductible: a campaign for a social initiative under the IsraelGives Foundation.
For the IDF: a campaign to support soldiers or an army unit.
For any charity: a campaign for any registered non-profit in Israel.
For details on each track, see Fundraising tracks.
The rest of this article applies only if you already run a private campaign that was opened before this change.
How does an existing private campaign work?
Your campaign keeps accepting online donations in Israeli Shekels and in foreign currencies. You get a notification for every donation, and the donor's details appear in your IsraelGives account. We reserve the right to remove or cancel campaigns at any time.
What do I need to do before funds are paid out?
Once you have raised NIS 600, we email you an invitation to our Know Your Customer (KYC) verification. It includes uploading a photo of a valid government-issued ID.
You must complete KYC before we can release your campaign funds to your bank account. If KYC is not completed within 180 days of the campaign's opening date, we may cancel the campaign, at the company's discretion.
When will I receive the funds?
Donations in NIS: paid to your bank account once a month, around the 10th, for donations received in the previous month.
Foreign-currency donations without a tax receipt: paid around the 15th of each month, for donations received in the previous month.
We may postpone a transfer if our team classifies your campaign as high-risk.
To see each transfer, go to Financials › Payouts. Your fee invoices are under Financials › Invoices.
What are the fees?
Setup fee: a one-time fee of NIS 300 + VAT, charged when the private campaign was opened.
Transaction fee: a 2.9% payment processing fee. International payments also have a $0.50 fee per donation.
How do donor tips work?
Instead of charging a platform fee, we let donors leave a voluntary tip that helps fund the platform.
Credit card donations: the tip is charged as a separate transaction. It does not appear in your account.
Bit or PayPal donations: the tip is added to the donation amount. We deduct it when we pay out your funds.
For example, if a donor leaves a ₪10 tip on a ₪100 donation, the donation shows as ₪110. We deduct the ₪10 tip from your payout.
Tips are not counted in the campaign's total. If ₪110,000 was donated and ₪10,000 of it was tips, the campaign total shows ₪100,000.
