Fees & Charges – FundMe Private Fundraising Campaign

When opening a campaign, a one-time payment gateway setup fee applies:

  • ₪500 + VAT (one-time fee)

For private fundraisers where a donor leaves a tip on a specific donation, the only charge is:

  • 2.9% credit card processing fee

  • No platform fee or per-transaction fee is charged (2.9% + ₪1.20).

If no tip is left, the donation will be charged:

  • Platform fee: 2.9% + ₪1.20

  • In addition to credit card processing fees of 2.9%

International Donations

  • 2.9% + $0.50 per donation

Tip Mechanism (for Private Campaigns)

Instead of charging a platform fee, we allow donors to leave a voluntary tip that helps support and fund the platform’s operations.

This means that a private fundraiser who receives a tip does not pay the platform fee — the tip covers the platform fee cost.

  • For credit card donations: the tip is charged as a separate transaction from the donation

  • For donations via Bit or PayPal: the tip is added to the donation amount and will appear on the receipt as a fee

Example

If a donor contributes ₪100 and leaves a 10% tip, the total charge will be ₪110.

📊 In Reports

  • Separate columns will display the donation amount and the tip amount

  • On the receipt, the donation and the tip will also appear as separate line items

Important to Know

  • The tip amount is not considered part of the campaign’s total fundraising amount

For example:
If ₪110,000 was collected and ₪10,000 of that amount consists of tips, the campaign total displayed will be ₪100,000.

  • The tip is not actually paid by the fundraiser; it is deducted from the additional amount received as a tip (excluding VAT).

Fundraising with Tax Deductible Donations (Section 46)

In cases where fundraising is conducted with tax-deductible donations through the Israel Gives Foundation (RA):

  • Fee: 5%

  • Credit card processing fees are included in this fee

Important to Know

  • Funds are not transferred directly to the fundraiser

  • Payments are made directly to the relevant local suppliers/services
